What steps should someone take if they lied about their qualifications during an interview and received the job offer?

During a job interview, I lied about certain qualifications that were not an explicit requirement for the job. I subsequently got the job and am working for the company. I want to know if the job/salary is permissible for me? What must I do?

Answer

(Fatwa: 426/390=L)

You will bear the sin of telling a lie, but if you are able to discharge the duties entrusted to you properly then your earning will be lawful.
