Do I qualify for “Qasar” with my weekly commute between Aligarh and Delhi?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My family i.e. my parents live in Aligarh (I an not married) I work in Noida/Delhi. Every week on Sunday evening I come to Delhi and live there at my Uncle’s house (sage chachajaan). For the next five days I go to my workplace from my uncle’s house. On Friday evening I go back to Aligarh. Distance between Aligarh and Delhi is about 120 Kms Every week when I come to Delhi I intend to go back to Aligarh on the comming Friday (after 5 days). And I keep minimum clothes/ belongings in Delhi – just sufficient for a week or two. Does “Qasar” applies to me? Please also guide what would be the case for my freinds who have the same routine but they live in a rented appartment in Delhi/ Noida.

(Fatwa: 400/101=H/1430)

You will do qasr in Noida, in journey and while returning from Aligarh. The qasr will come to an end when you will enter the area of Aligarh; since Aligarh is watan asli for you while Noida is your watan iqamah (a place where one stays). If one reaches his watan asli though for awhile he will not remain musafir, while if one intends to stay for 15 days or more in his watan iqamah he will not remain musafir, otherwise he will be muqeem.

(2) If he intended to make Noida his watan asli, then the same rulings which you follow in Aligarh will be applied to him. And if he stays in Noida temporarily like you then just like you Noida is his watan iqamah the ruling of which is given under the answer 1.
