Is the meaning of the name “Afrah” good or evil, and should I change it to “Kulsum”?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Assalam Alaikum. I have kept my daughters name as “Afrah” after seeing the meaning on Internet as “Happiness”. But few people have told me that the meaning of Arfah is not good ( Something related to dust or evil). Can you please advise me. If the meaning is not good should i keep “Kulsum”?

We could not find the meaning of Afrah (افرح) as dust in dictionary. However, it is better to choose Umm Kulsum for your daughter. It is the name of one of the daughters of the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
