Is it allowed to pray fardh salah with jamah at home with my mother?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Is it allowed to pray fardh salah with jamah at home with my mother as my only muqtadi and I make her stand behind me not next to me? Do I get the 27 times reward of jamah by doing so? If I do it continuously without any reason, is it still lawful or does it get makrooh without any plausible reason?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1277/1277/M=1432)

If jama’ah is missed sometimes you can do jama’ah with your mother at your home, but she shall stand behind you. You shall get the reward of jama’ah but not the reward of mosque. It is depriving oneself with the reward by not joining the jama’ah of the mosque without any excuse and making a habit to do jama’ah at home. Males should join the jama’ah of the mosque.
