(Fatwa: 1525/253=L/1429)

It means that we deem right the existence of magic, its imagination and its effect. Magic can leave its effect on any person, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) himself was affected by magic done by the daughters of Labid. There are some Quranic verses and duas if recited punctually there will no effect of magic, in-sha-Allah.

Hadhrat Kaab Al-Ahbar (رضى الله عنه) says had he not recited some words, the Jews would have made (through magic) him a donkey, someone asked him what the words are, he said:

Allah will protect those reciting this dua at least thrice in the morning and evening.

Also, Hadhrat Shaikhul Hadith (Maulana Zakariya) selected nearly 32 Quranic verses in a collection named ‘Manzil’, by reciting it once in the morning and evening one will be protected from the effect of magic, in-sha-Allah.
