Is it permissible to give a non-Muslim a translated Quran in Hindi or English?

Asslam-Alaikum, I have got a collegue who is non muslim,but he is interested to know that what is written in QURAN-A-PAAK please suggest me is it allowed according to islam to give QURAN-E-PAAK to a person who is non muslim and he can read only hindi or english translated QURAN-E- PAAK.Please suggest me whether i should give him english translated QURAAN SHAREEF or not,and if its allowed so please make this duaa that Allah give him the HIDAYAT of IMAAN (Ameen). JAZAK ALLAH.

Answer

(Fatwa: 1143/1084=D/1429)

You should tell him about the greatness attached to the Quran and ask him to respect it. If you are satisfied that he will not commit any desecration then you can give him any authentic translation of the Quran whether in English, Hindi or Urdu.
