Is it permissible to accept payment in exchange for a teaching position at a school?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
One of my cousins has paid bribe to join a school as a teacher, in the name of donation, if he would not have paid the bribe, someone else would have been appointed for that position. I want to ask that, is his income now halal or haram. All the people in the school Trust are Muslim and school is Urdu medium. Please suggest.

Answer

(Fatwa: 189/L=106/TL=1433)

If he is doing his assigned jobs properly then his income shall not be termed as haram. His income shall be halal.
