Is my name Fahed or Fahad?

Assalamualykum molvi sahab, i wanted to know that my name is fahed, but my frndz n all call me fahad what is the right one?? And wad is the meaning of that plz send me details abt my name (taseer) of my name.

Answer

(Fatwa: 686/686/M=1431)

Fahd means: leopard and panther.

Fahid means: One who does somebody’s work good in his absence. Both names are correct.
