Is there a right way to offer prayers while sitting on a chair?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am 73 year old. I have undergone a total knee replacement surgery in July this year. I have been advised not to sit on floor. While offering my prayers I sit down on chair during sujood. There are lot of versions about offering prayers sitting on a chair. Kindly advise me in the matter. You are also requested to kindly educate me on right way of offering prayers while sitting on a chair.

(Fatwa: 378/309/N=5/1441)

If you can perform sajdah by placing your forehead on the ground in any way then it shall not be lawful for you to offer salah sitting on chair with gesture. And if you cannot perform sajdah sitting on ground in any way then it shall be lawful for you to offer salah on chair with gesture.
