Is kosher meat halal?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I live in Hungary and most of the time I travel to many other European countries. My 1st question is if kosher meat (the meat which is slaughtered according to Jewish law) is halal? For example:- If you know KFC Restaurant; they serve chicken as per kosher law. My friends told me kosher is halal in Muslims.
(2) There is no authentic proof of the halal meat/chicken in Europe. Some just say by word that it is halal and some have halal stickers on packets. They say it is imported from Muslim meat providers from Turkey, Germany etc. Can you please tell me what should exactly we have to do about this issue.

It is very difficult to trust about the meat being halal which is available in European countries. Hence you should not use cow, goat, chicken meat at all. Packed boxes cannot be trusted no matter from where it comes. Instead of meat you should eat eggs or fish or vegetables. It is better for you. Otherwise it is very much difficult to avoid haram.
