Is it allowable in Islam for a muezzin to recite Azan without wudhu first?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
The muezzin of my local mosque, most of the times, recite azan without wudhu. After reciting azan he performs wudhu. Is it rightful to recite azan without wudhu or haram?

(Fatwa: 549/519/SD=6/1439)

It is mustahab to call azan in the state of wudhu; hence the muezzin should call the azan in the state of wudhu. However, if he gave azan without wudhu then too it is valid.
