Is halal-certified non-Muslim food veg or non-veg?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
We wanted to know, whether we can take non-Vegetarian and vegetarian food from non-Muslims shops/hotels, if they have the Halal Certificate attached in their shops/hotels?

(Fatwa: 255/311/L=3/1439)

It is not lawful to buy meat from the shop of non-Muslim though he has halal certificate. However, you may buy vegetables etc from his shop provided you are sure that the vessels etc are clean and pure.
