Can recitation of Kalima “La Ilaha Illallah” 70,000 times protect me from grave & Hell-fire?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Is it an innovation to recite Kalimah “La Ilaha Illallah” 70,000 times with hope that the deceased will be saved from the punishment of grave and Hell fire? I really wish to know that and is thinking of doing this for my mother who died on 5th July 2017. Help me in this regard and please pray for the forgiveness of my mother and all the Muslims.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

This number is not proved from the Quran and Hadith. It is the experience of elders. Someone tells to read it seventy thousand times and someone tells to read it one lakh twenty five thousand times. The most excellent dhikr is the Holy Quran, it should be recited and then isal-e-sawab and dua for forgiveness should be made for the dead. At least recite Surah Ikhlas 11 times and do isal-o-sawab.
