Is alcohol halal or haram in Islam pre-Prophet Mohammad (SAWS)?

Did alcohol (sharab) is halal or haram in Islam before the arrival of Prophet Mohammad (SAWS)?

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sent down with the religion of Islam i.e. Islam started from the advent of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be up on him). Thus, the question whether wine was halal or haram before the advent of the holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is meaningless. Before the advent of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there were other religions, Judaism, Christianity etc, but there was no Islam. As for the question what was the ruling of wine in the Shariah of Ibrahim (may peace be upon him), I don’t know.
