What are the norms governing Namaz while crossing?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
It is seen practically that the multiple individuals cross and pass intermediary the verge in front of who is offering salah (NAMAZ) which rotates common in every mosque. And no regret at all. Which gradually iterates demure and in simple expressions really no sentence or words to draft up. I/self offering salah (Namaz) and kept specs eye wear beneath and one individual cross-by and crush specs and pass by and no regret at all. Kindly advice in the brightness of guidance with Sunnah & Hadith, for this act of kindness I will highly grateful to you.

(Fatwa: 647/528/D=7/1438)

It is severe sin to pass in front of the person who is praying salah. Hadith sternly forbids it, those who do so they are sinner. And passing close to a namazi i.e. in the place of sajdah is severe sin.

If the said person did so intentionally then it is a serious issue, but if it was done by mistake then too he should have sought pardon.

Note:A detailed fatwa on passing in front of the praying person is published in the book “Chand Ahem Asri Masail” vol. II. This book is available at Maktaba Darul Uloom Deoband, you may purchase it and it  could also be read online at the website of Darul Uloom Deoband.
