Can zakah money from wife’s gold pay for dependent sister’s wedding dowry?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am living in a joint family system, where I am supporting my 02 younger sisters and my parents. My wife has enough gold to pay zakah. She has no money to pay for that, but I’ll pay her zakah. Can I give this zakah money to my younger sister so that she manages for her weeding dowry? She is already dependent on me & my parents and has no other source of income.

In the question mentioned above, you may pay the zakah of your wife to your sister with her permission provided she is poor and eligible to receive zakah. If your sister has become sahib-e-nisab due to jewelry etc then it is not correct to give her zakah.
