If you are paying income tax to the Government, then you should pay zakah.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
1. If I am paying income tax to the Government, then should I need to pay “Zakat” also?
2. Now a days I am severely sick and I have started offering “Salah” completely a couple of months before and now i am offering farz “Salah” only due to my sickness. I have intention to offer the “Qaza” namaz after I become healthy. If by the will of ALLAH s.w.t, I die in this sickness, should I be forgiven by ALLAH s.w.t in Qabr and Hashr.
3. I heard this Hadith “If a girl or women go to jahannam on the day of Hashr she will take 4 men (her father, brother, husband and her son) to jahannam along with her. I continue advice my mother and sister to live their life according to the order of ALLAH s.w.t and sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) to do purdah etc. I have also started taa’leem of Muntakhab Ahadith in my home. Please tell me if they don’t follow then should I be punished on the day of judgment?
4. Sometimes so bad and dirty thoughts come in my mind that I can’t explain I can’t control that thoughts even sometimes I think that I am expelled from Islam but I keep doing istighfar please help me to save my iman.

(Fatwa: 133/230/SD=5/1438)

(1) After paying income tax, if you are owner of nisab, then you will have to pay zakah after completion of the year. The obligation of zakah shall not be dropped due to paying income tax.

(2) May Allah cure you soon! You have to offer whatsoever fardh and witr salah you have missed. If it is difficult to offer the missed salah due to illness then you should make a will that if you cannot offer the missed salah during your life then after your death the fidyah of your salah should be paid from your one third wealth. Then it is hoped that you shall be forgiven in grave as well as on the Day of Resurrection, in-shaAllah.

(3) If you keep on insisting them to pass life according to Shariah and you were worried about it then in-shaAllah, you shall not be taken accountable on the Day of Judgment.

(4) Such waswasah may occur sometimes, but one should not be disturbed, being worried at such thoughts is in fact the sign of faith itself. Therefore, you should remain busy in your tasks and think less. However, it happens sometimes, do not pay any attention towards it.

Allah knows Best!
