Is it lawful to be a cable TV operator?

I am a Cable Operator. My job is to supply TV Channels to various homes in my colony. So please kindly tell me if my work is haram or halal or ja’iz or naja’iz.

(Fatwa: 914/930/L=07/1436)

It is unalwful to supply TV channels. It is helping in sin which the Holy Quran has disallowed. Allah says:
وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الْبرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلاَ تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ [المائدة : 2]
