Is it safe to stay at Mina for only three days due to ill-health?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Last year I along with my parents and brother and sister-in-law and nephew(one and half year old) went for Hajj. We stayed in Mina on 8thof Dhul Hijjah then moved to Arafat and Muzdalifah on 9th then came back to Mina for Rami Jamarat on 10th. After performing tawaf on the night of 10thDhul Hijjah we have tried to go back to Mina but due to unavailability of any bus or taxis and due to exhaustion and ill-health of both my father and mother we decided to go to Azizia which is near Mina (where currently Hajjis from India stay) and stayed there for the next two days. However we did perform Rami Jamarat on 11 and 12. I would like to ask whether our Hajj is complete or we need to give some dam or sadaqah to make it complete?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 671/680/H=07/1436)

No dam (slaughtering animal) and sadaqah shall be levied upon you for not staying in mina for two days. The Hajj of all of you was valid.

It should be noted that it is sunnah to stay in Mina during the days of Rami and it is makrooh to pass the night somewhere else. One should not ignore this sunnah without any unavoidable compulsion.

Allah knows Best!
