Azaan for new born babies

Answered according to Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I have question related to giving azaan for new born babies. I have three kids alhamdulillah. For the first two kids I gave azaan but iqamah was not completed because I was not aware. I only came to know for my third child which I completed the process by giving azaan in right ear and iqamah in the left year. Kindly provide details what should I do for the first two where I have not completed the process. My first daughter is 7 years old and the second son is 4 years old.

Hadith records no time for the adhan and iqamah that is said in the right and left ears of a newborn baby. However, it is learnt from the words of Hadith and by the commentary of Hadith scholars that it should be given immediately after the birth or up to seven days.
Neither it is fardh nor wajib to say adhan or iqamah in the ears of a baby, rather it is a desirable deed. Hence if you did not say adhan and iqamah for your children due to ignorance of the matter, then there is no harm.
