Can Shafi’is join Asr Jamah without repeating in Hanafi time? Can they lead as Imam in Shafi’i time?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Please solve the following issue for us in Ghana and those like us. In my country Asr salah time is according to Maliki-Shafi’i in every masjid throughout the country. As a strict follower of the Hanafi Madhhab; (1) can one join the Jamah of Asr salah in Shafi’i time without repeating it later when it is time for Hanafi? (2) Can one lead Asr Jamahas an Imam in Shafi’i time? (3) Can one pray alone as per Shafi’I time without repeating it? May Allah grant you the taufiq and hikmah to solve this issue as you have done to other issues on your website.

(1-2) Though Imam Abu Yusuf and Imam Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on them) of Hanafi School are with Imam Shafi’i and Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on them) that the time of Asr starts on mithl awwal (when the shadow of an object reaches equal to its size) which some scholars of Fiqh have confirmed. But according to Hanafi Fiqh the preferred time and practice is that the time of Asr starts at mithl thani (when the shadow of an object becomes double of its size). Hence it shall not be lawful for a Hanafi to offer or lead Asr salah on mithl awwal without a sever need. Yes, if sometimes due to journey or any other compulsion one joins Asr salah at mithl awwal or leads it then since the second saying is also available in Hanafi Fiqh hence salah shall be valid and it shall not be necessary to reoffer it.
(3) It is better to offer salah with jamah by joining another person on mithl thani. If it is not possible then it is better to offer salah alone as there is no compulsion to join the jamah offering Asr salah on mithl awwal. It is mentioned in Dur al-Mukhtar:
