Make baiat to Qalabi Zikr Shaikh despite differing Barailvi beliefs?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My beliefs are Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamat Hanafi Deobandi. I was thinking of making baiat to a Shaikh who prescribes Qalabi Zikr. The Shaikh has aqaaid of Barailvi. What do you suggest. I have been doing the Zikr for a year now and have been attending the Zikr mahfils. I have noticed a change and helped stay away from sins. I also go on Jamat with the Tablighi Jamat. What do you suggest should I make baiat? I do not agree with the Barailvi beliefs though but the Zikr is benefitting me. I had a dream someone was doing tawajjuh on me. And I have felt spiritual sensations a few times since I have started this QALBI ZIKR. One of the Zikr they teach is Nafi Isbaat but I haven’t got to that stage I think I would have to become baiat before this. What do you recommend I do?

The first and foremost condition of a Shaikh with whom someone wants to take oath of allegiance (for spiritual purification) is that he strictly follows the sunnah and belongs to Ahl Sunnah al-Jamah. Many beliefs of the Barailvis are misleading rather they lead to the shirk. Hence it is not right to take the oath of allegiance from a person who holds the beliefs of Barailvi. Since one cannot get complete benefit from a shaikh until he devotes himself to his shaikh and as a result this will lead to get influenced by the beliefs of shaikh and it shall spoil your beliefs badly. You should keep on searching any other good shaikh who carries belief of Ahl Sunnah Al Jamah. It should be noted that the Sufis have various chains. Hence if some shaikh in the beginning does not ask for zikr qalbi you must not worry. A murid should surrender himself to the shaikh, he should not try to dominate the shaikh.
