Is reduced-fat milk with added vitamin D from sheep’s wool halal/haram if sheep not killed?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
In Europe there are different types of milk based on fat quantity. The standard milk has 3% fat. But there are other milk widely used here which contains 1.5 or even 0.5 % fat. To reduce the fat content vitamin D is added on all such milks and the source of vitamin D is from sheep’s wool. They don’t kill the sheep rather they cut and they extract vitamin D from sheep’s wool directly, so they just cut the wool and extract vitamin D from it. My question is that is there anything we need to worry about its halal or haram status? As the sheep is not killed at all and they just cut the wool on the skin to extract it. Please guide.

Yes, it is lawful to cut the wool of sheep and get benefit by extracting vitamin D from it without slaughtering it.
