Is praying in a prayer area equivalent to praying in a masjid in terms of reward?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Please let me know the difference between prayer area and masjid. In my building in ground floor there is an area called prayer area I am praying. Can I get same reward of masjid?

(Fatwa: 420/439/L=04/1436)

A mosque is the place which is endowed by the endower by terminating his right of ownership from the land in a way that he has separated its way and has allowed people to offer salah therein.
While the prayer area or masjid of house is called the place which is not endowed on the abovementioned method rather some part of the house is specified to offer salah and this place does not have the ruling of real mosque, the owner of the land remains its owner and his ownership is not terminated.
By offering salah there the reward of mosque is not achieved. However, it is better to offer nafl etc salah instead of fardh in home. Hence it is mustahab to specify some part of home for offering salah.
