Can a Muslim marry someone who is already married?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Once my friend was engaged in love with women who already married but now she got divorce legally from her husband and get marry with my friend in court later on they done nikah but now my friend feeling very bad (guilty) from the day of he knew that iddah is necessary to do before nikah (marriage) in this case and without iddah his nikah (marry) not authentic and their relationship will consider prohibited (haram) but he informed that they don’t have any other place for residing because their families are not supporting them at any cost. Thus please inform that their nikah is valid as per Islamic Shariah or not? Please suggest as per Shariah and Sunnah?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 14/14/H=01/1436)

It is haram to marry to other person until the complete iddah of talaq is not over. They must live separately.
