Can imam use red/yellow dye for beard instead of black, and is there any hadith to support it?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
If imam use black dye for his beard then can we offer salah behind him? Is it true that imam can use red or yellow dye for beard instead of black? Is there any hadith?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 65/65/M=01/1436)

Dying hair or beard black is forbidden as Hadith forbids it. However, other colours red or yellow are allowed. The holy prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) advised Hadhrat Abu Bakar’s father to dye red henna and asked not to apply black dye. (Mishkat p. 380)
It is necessary for imam who dyes his beard black to stop it; otherwise his imamah shall be makrooh.
