Can I share an apartment with a non-mahram and work in a bank?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Kindly advise on the below questions:
(1) Can a Muslim family share an apartment with a non mahram female?
(2) Please elaborate why it is allowed for Muslims to work in the IT department of a bank. Isn’t that helping the bank in some way to do their business? Also, in some or the other way interest might come in to the salary of the IT engineer.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 1426/1423/N=11/1434)

(1) It is necessary as per the Islamic Shariah for males not to talk to strange women without severe need as it causes lots of evils. Hence it shall in no way be lawful for males and adult boys to share a single flat without purdah etc.
(2) It is not lawful to do the job as engineer in the IT department of a bank as it involves the supervision of the interest based calculations of the bank. And the salary which one derives from the job of interest based dealings shall not be lawful and halal.
