Can a old man read namaaz on bed even he is asleep?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Whether an old man can read his 5 times namaaz on bed itself while he is in napaaki? The problem here is he got paralysis with which he cannot stand on his own. Moreover he does toilet and bathroom also on the bed as pampers will be attach to him. Can he read namaaz and do zikr in this situation? It is not possible to clean him every hour so once or twice in week or 2 weeks he gets cleaned with having bath (ghusl) also. So please clarify me in detail.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 1537/1027/L=11/1434)

If the place where his body is lying is free from impurity then he may offer salah in that condition. But if there is impurity beneath his body, then it should be cleaned at the time of salah or some think cloth is spread over there. If there is impurity nearby, it will not affect the salah.
