Is a will or wasiyat by a Muslim in favor of his legal heir (waris) legal?

Will or wasiyat by a Muslim in favour of his legal (Quranic) heir (waris) is legal or illegal?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 1106/1113/M=9/1434)

Those who inherit as per the Shariah may not be entitled to a will (wasiyat). So a person getting share as heir may not be nominated for a will, as the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said:
لا وصیۃ لوارث
