Should we change our son’s name due to superstitious beliefs?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My wife gave birth to a baby boy on June 27, 2013. We decided his name Muhammad Eesa Ahmed. But some of the people are saying that it is heavy name, the person with Eesa name lives a tough life etc. Some are saying that we should search out for the Urdu alphabets for the name accordingly with the birth time and date and day. I do not believe in such kind of things but these comments are disturbing me a lot. However I know that Eesa is the name of Prophet. Kindly help me in this regard.

The name ‘Muhammad Eisa Ahmad’ is alright. You should not pay attention to what people say baselessly and should not bother yourself. The name will have good effect over the boy in-shaAllah! However it is better that you add either Muhammad or Ahmad only.

Allah knows Best!
