Why is cutting women’s hair not allowed, if there’s no Hadith about it?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I wanted to ask why women are not allowed to cut their hair. I am aware they are allowed only split ends and to make it grow longer but my wife doesn’t accept it since she says there’s no Hadith about it. So I would like to know on what basis is it not allowed cutting women’s hair.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 1120/859/B=1434)

As it is wajib for men to grow beard, in the same way it is also wajib for women to grow their head hair. So, it is haram and unlawful for women to cut their hair. The adornment of women shall vanish by cutting the hair of head.

Note: However, if the tip of hair splits that prevents its growth then you can cut the hair ends so that the hair could grow longer.
