Are gender-specific burial procedures and non-mahram rules part of Islamic Shariah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
What does the Islamic Shariah say when a woman dies and who she should be buried, usually people bury women same as man, non-mahram also stand near the burial place, please guide us.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 885/693/B=1434)

At a time when the body of the woman is taken down in the grave, the mahram should get down in the grave and hold the janazah and put it in the grave. Other people should move away from the site. However, it is better if the grave is covered with chuddar. If there is no mahram of the woman available then non-mahram men may also put her in the grave holding the shroud. However, non-mahram men should not look at the face of the deceased woman.
