Forgot to wash ears during ghusl and prayer – now what?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Reverentially writing this email in order to gain your attention towards a question which was driving me insane as upon seeking guidance from several different Molvi and Imams, I did not receive a satisfactory answer, which may be due to different sects (Shafai, Maliki etc). Here I am seeking guidance from your kindness and hope for an instant reply or quick response at least.
My name is Yasir Khalil, Maslak Hanafi.
Question: Yesterday after taking ghusl, I offered my prayer and then started to wonder if I “Washed the insides and outsides of my ears”? I tried to recall my memory but failed. I seek your kind guidance what are the rules in these kind of situations and if my prayer was valid? I sometimes tend to forget things, and it has been on the peak lately which make me re-take the bath/ablution and even sometimes, I forget if I read a particular prayer. Kindly guide me what to do in these sorts of situations and oblige.

(1) If the probability of not washing the ear is dominating then you should do ghusl and repeat your salah as precaution but do not land yourself in trouble due to doubt. There is no need to wash it again.
(2) Do not fall in doubt. Try to get purity and offer salah with care. If you are caught in doubt during wudhu and ghusl then wash it again. If you develop doubt later then do not pay any attention towards it. Yes, if there is strong probability then practice according to it.
