Why did the Prophet Muhammad [SAW] kiss Hajar-e-Aswad (black stone)?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I want to know why did the Prophet Muhammad [SAW] kiss Hajar-e-Aswad (black stone)? I am aware that it is Sunnah to kiss Hajar-e-Aswad for people performing Hajj and Umrah during tawaf, but is there any explanation in any Sahih Hadith elaborating why Prophet Muhammad [SAW] kissed it at all? Did he receive any wahi regarding it. Please explain.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Each and every practice of the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was in accordance with wahi. Almighty Allah says in the holy Quran:
وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى [النجم : 3]
Thus the kissing of Hajr-e-Aswad at the time of tawaf shall be according to wahi.

Allah knows Best!
