Is it permissible for a woman to visit a tomb (kabristan)?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
My question is a women can go in tomb (kabristan).like sirhind, mehdiyan, nizamuddin etc with her husband or any member of family? Please, reply soon.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 318=318/L)

The women can not go to Dargahs (graves of pious personalities) even with their husbands and Mahrams (father, son, brother etc) since these places are generally centres of un-Islamic activities:

والتبرک بزیارة قبور الصالحین فلا باس بہ اذا کن عجائز ویکرہ اذا کن شواب کحضور الجماعة فی المساجد (شامی: 3/151)

Also, since the women are weak in beliefs; therefore they are likely to indulge any thing that may cause kufr or shirk (infidelity and ascribing partner with Allah).

Allah knows Best!
