Is Ziri Madrasha a Wahabi madrasa, and how can I argue with people who call it so?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am writing from Chittagong District of Bangladesh. My village is Under Patiya Police Station and in our Village there is famous Madrasa named “Al-Jamiatul Arabiatul Islamiah, Ziri” and another one is Al-Jamiah Al-Islamiah, Patiya. My house is just beside of Ziri Madrasha boundary. I have been working in a company since long time in Bangladesh and it is located in Chittagong city. Whenever anybody heard my village is in Ziri then they asked me are you Wahabi? And they also called Ziri Madrasha as a Wahabi madrasa. I feel bad. But I cannot argue as I do not have much knowledge about it. Kindly reply me about it so that I can argue with them. They also told they are Sunni. Please help me.

(Fatwa: 675/675/M=1434)

Nearly 150-175 years ago, a Jamah was attributed towards Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab in Arabia. This jamah differed in some views from that of four Imams. This jamah wanted to capture the land, but the government fought it and defeated it in 1233 Hijrah. This jamah earned much insult. At the same time in India the people attached to Hadhrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi (رحمة الله عليه) prepared for Jihad and fought the enemies of Islam at various places. The English forged this tern Wahabi to defame them and said that they belonged to Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab Najdi’s group, and sought fatwa against them from Bida’ti Ulama. Now the situation is that a person who follows the religion brought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) maintaining its limit and follows sunnah and avoids bid’ah he is termed to be Wahabi and is defamed that he does not love the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) rather blasphemes the holy Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم). [Fatwa Mahmoodiya 4/372, published Meerut] What more do you want to know, ask it to your local Ulama.
