Should I join the jammat if Imam Saheb starts to say “Assala…” but does not complete?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Sallat Assalamu a’laikum. Hazrat if i join jammat (takbir-e-tahrima) when imam saheb starts to salam(1st) “Assala…” but does not complete. In this context am i supposed to get into the jammat or not?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Salah completes on the mim of assalamu. If you joined Imam by saying takbir tahrima before he pronounced mim you will be counted as participant of Jamaat, but not if you joined after the pronunciation of the letter mim.
