Amount of Charity for Umrah Violation

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askmufti.co.za

Q: 1. A person in Umrah needs to give a Sadaqah (charity) for Ihraam violation. What amount of riyals needs to be given and to whom?

2. A person read Waajibut Tawaaf after Asr by mistake instead of after Maghrib. What must be done in such a case?

A: 1. Normally a sadaqah for any ihraam violation is the equivalent of sadaqatul-fitr. That must be determined locally by someone in Makka. Alternatively, find out the price of three kilograms of rice or flour in Makka and give out that amount in riyals.

2. If the two rakaats waajib of tawaaf was read after Asr, they are valid though it is sinful to do so deliberately. There is no need to repeat these two rakaats.
