Unable to Sit Correctly in Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askmufti.co.za

Q: I’ve read when sitting in Salaah one should keep the right foot upright and to spread the left foot and sit on it, and to put toes facing the Qiblah. However I’m not flexible enough to do this and instead I don’t sit like that. Is this a problem?

A: Yes, the right foot’s toes should be kept upright and facing Qiblah. Practice this out of Salaah and eventually you will get it right. It will take time. If for some reason it cannot work for you then you are excused.
