Q: Can my mother and brother put in half and half money to do qurbani of 1 sheep?
A. Two people in one sheep or in one portion of a cow, etc. is not permissible. The way out is that both of them can pay for the sheep. Thereafter one makes the other one the full owner of the sheep. Now the Qurbani will be on either the name of the mother or brother, not both together.
