Q: Can a person give his stepdaughter or stepson zakat?
A. It is permissible to give them Zakaat if they are eligible i.e. they do not possess extra cash or any form of extra possessions that amount to the Nisaab of Zakaat, or if they do, they have debts that are far more than what they possess.
