Hurmate musaharah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

i have a question regarding hurmat e musaharah.

i am married to my wife since 6 years, these incidents happened arount 10 years i go when i used to goto my in laws who were just family friends at that time. and due to a lot of haram desires i had felings for my aunty who is now my mother in law. but i have to ask about two specific incidents

1) one day i feel on the ground when exiting my aunts house and had a back cramp, my aunt (who is now my mother in law) rubbed medicine/ointment at my bare back. i had some feeling at that time but no errection at all.

2) once my aunt (now my mother in law) was not feeling well and said her heart beat is too fast and took my hand and put on her heart/ bare chest for some seconds. at that moment also i did not have any erection.

after this i asked many darul ulooms and got a fatwa that it has not created hurmat and i can still marry her daughter, now i am maried since 6 years. have seriously repented for all the sins, but still this waswasa comes into my heart quite often and takes away my peace that my nikkah is not valid.

kindly tell me what is my current situation

jazakALLAH khair

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

As you have told us that you already asked other Darul Uloom’s and they told you that your nikah is still valid because in order for your nikah to be void, you have to have enough desire which causes an erection[1]. Asking every Darul Uloom is not the solution to getting rid of your wasawis.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
