Working in a company which directly or indirectly relates to anything impermissible

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I f a job offered from company which make software for only financial institution like banks & insurance ,credit card etc Is it good to do jobs for those company?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If your employment involves working with any systems which are directly related to anything impermissible then this employment will also be impermissible. For example, if one is employed to create/maintain interest calculating programmes, then this will not be permissible.

However, if the employment is not directly involved with anything impermissible, rather indirectly, then this job will be makrooh tanzeehi (disliked). For example, if one’s occupation is to ensure that the computers of a company that deals in interest are up and running, then this will be makrooh tanzeehi as this indirectly(Sabab Ba’eed) grants the company the ability to continue their impermissible transactions.
