Is it permissible to donate blood to Muslims and Kuffar?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Is it permissible in shariah for muslim to donate blood for non muslims or even muslism? Like we have everywhere these blood banks in malls etc advertising for people to donate some blood for those who suffer medically.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Considering the perpetual need of blood transfusion at any given moment[1], it is permissible to donate to a blood bank for both Muslims and non-Muslims.[2]
