Is it bad luck to grow plants with thorns?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Are we allowed to plant rose in our front garden or any other plants with thorns on it? Will planting thorns around  around the house will bring in bad luck?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to plant any plant with thorns in one’s garden. The concept of bad luck has no basis in Islam[1].
