Photography of inanimate objects?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

What does Islam have to say about photography of inanimate objects?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to take pictures of inanimate objects as long as they do not resemble anything that is used as an object of worship,[1] for example, taking the picture of a cross or an idol, etc.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
