Salaam alekum Respected Ulema-e-ikram ,My mother and my wife don’t get along well. They fight for minor issues and i get into trouble because it’s either my mother’s fault or my wive’s fault. In order to find a permanant solution i am thinking of separating our homes. Currently my wife is in her mother’s home, she wants to come back to my home, but i am stopping her because things for sure will get out of hand, as this is how it has been happening. My wife has a big mouth and high temper problem, she does not know when to stop when she gets angry where as my mom has a lot of self respect and ego. At times things get out of my hand and i feel like divorcing my wife but since we have a girl child i stop myself.
We have been married for 5 years now, we have a 3 yr old daughter and she happens to be the only grandchild of the family and majority of the time we have been staying abroad. Now we are visiting India after more than 4 years. My parents have visited us a couple of times when we were abroad and Inshallah they will keep on visiting.
Please let me know if my decision of having separate homes is correct.

As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-raḥmatullāhi wa-barakātuh
The problem you are facing is common nowadays amongst young couples.
You should not divorce your wife solely for the reason that she and your mother do not get along well, especially in view of your child.
From what you have mentioned, it seems that your decision of having separate homes is correct and a solution to your problem. You should therefore build up the courage to find a separate accommodation and live separately.
