In fatwa 23674 you have stated that salah is not valid if a person has had alcohol but umrah is valid. Howcome?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is possible you may have misread fatwa 23674, please review. The Umrah of a person is valid ONLY if he is not intoxicated/drunk at the time of performing Umrah. If he has consumed alcohol or is intoxicated at the time of performing Umrah, his Umrah will NOT be valid.
