Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Is it permissible for a Shafi’ee Muqtadee to perform the Fardh Salaah of Esha behind a Hanafi Imam of Taraweeh.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

According to the Shafi’ee Mazhab, in principle it is permissible for a Muftaridh to make Iqtidaa of a Mutanaffil. Therefore, it is permissible for a Shafi’ee Muqtadee to perform the Fardh Salaah of Esha behind a Hanafi Imam of Taraweeh Salaah.[1]
