Assalam alaikum 1.I reached puberity about 12 yrs ago while i started offering Salat only recently, i am now trying not to miss any salat now,but how can i compensate for my missed Salats. I was told that either i pay a sadqa for each missed salat or I give one third of my total asset to some poor. but i am still not independent but i am a student and recieve money from my parents. although i have got some money, which i saved from the money i get from my parents every month. can that be treated as my assets or i will have to donate after i start earning. but how will it be in the case if today i give one third of my asset which is a small amount but after few days when i will have more money or property, will i have to give from that too or not, i mean to say will the money i gave as sadqa at a earlier stage when my assets were smaller be treated as final or i have to give out from time to time as my property increases. 2.what is the criteria if one feels during namaz that a drop of urine has fallen. shall we break niyat. what will be the criteria if this does not happen once a while but several times or say atleast once during namaz 3.i want to know what is the criteria of ones clothes becoming napaak. one of my friend told me that if the amount of napaaki on your clothes exceeds the size of one rupee (diameter about2cm)coin then you cannot offer namaz in them other wise you can offer please clearify

Answer

1. It is compulsory to make Qadhaa (make up) for each missed Fardh Salaat and Witr Salaat from the time you attained physical maturity (Buloogh). You cannot compensate for the missed Salaats by giving Sadaqah (charity) or giving one third of your assets to the poor. That information is incorrect. We suggest you calculate the number of missed Salaat and put a long time plan in place to make up for all the missed Salaats. One easy way to cover up for all the missed Salaats is to perform one Qadhaa Salaat along with each Adaa (present) Salaat.

2. At the outset, we wish to advise that after relieving yourself or after making Wudhu, sprinkle some water around the undergarment. That will assist in removing suspicion of urine drops. In principle, if one is suspicious of urine drops in Salaat, he should continue with his Salaat until he is certain that urine has come out.

3. In principle, if any major impurity on the clothes or body is equivalent to the hollow of one’s palm, then Salaat with that amount of impurity will be valid but Makrooh (reprehensible). Every possible effort should be made to perform Salat with clean clothes. If one has no alternative and cannot change or wash the impurities, then he/she will be excused.
